Ways to Combat Burnout


The following tips will help you combat burnout.  Pick a few to start using this week.

  • Bible study and prayer
  • Deep breathing exercises
  • Establish boundaries between work and other areas of your life.
  • Celebrate a job well done before moving on to the next task.
  • Be still and relax
  • Delegate work as much as possible at work and at home.
  • Don't over-schedule your non-work time
  • Count your blessings--name them one by one.
  • Call your home or work answering machine and leave a reminder for you to relax.
  • Practice positive affirmations
  • Identify things you can look forward to each day.
  • Be patient with yourself.
