Ways to Combat Burnout
The following tips will help you combat burnout. Pick a
few to start using this week.
- Bible study and prayer
- Deep breathing exercises
- Establish boundaries between work and other areas of your
life.
- Celebrate a job well done before moving on to the next
task.
- Be still and relax
- Delegate work as much as possible at
work and at home.
- Don't over-schedule your non-work time
- Count your blessings--name them one by one.
- Call your home or work answering machine and leave a reminder for
you to relax.
- Practice positive affirmations
- Identify things you can look forward to each day.
- Be patient with yourself.
