Ways to Combat Burnout
The following tips will help you combat burnout. Pick a
few to start using this week.
Bible study and prayer
Deep breathing exercises
Establish boundaries between work and other areas of your
life.
Celebrate a job well done before moving on to the next
task.
Be still and relax
Delegate work as much as possible at
work and at home.
Don't overschedule your non-work time
Count your blessings--name them one by one.
Call your home or work answering machine and leave a reminder for
you to relax.
Practice positive affirmations
Identify things you can look forward to each day.
Be patient with yourself.

To avoid burn-out: look for ways to make your work more interesting. Ask
about possibly trading some responsibilities with co-workers. Work on
forgetting about your job when you're at home.
