 Characteristics of a Strong Family

  1. They know how to solve problems together.
  2. They have made family a top priority in their schedule.
  3. They talk about their feelings, intentions, thoughts, and experiences openly and frequently.
  4. They spend time doing fun or rewarding things together.
  5. They have learned effective ways to resolve conflicts, argue without losing their temper, forgive failures, and deal with stress.
  6. They get help from a friend, pastor, or counselor with persistent problems before they become full-blown crises.
  7. They have a team spirit about household chores and responsibilities.
  8. They pray together, attend church regularly, and help others in need.
  9. They respect, support, unconditionally love, trust, and accept one-another.
  10. They have both guidelines and limitations and everyone knows what is expected.
