Anger Coping Strategies  


1.                
Exercise   (i.e. walking, playing a sport)

2.                  Relaxation Techniques  (i.e. deep breathing, counting to ten, muscular relaxation, meditation, prayer)

3.                  Talk to a Neutral Person  (i.e. friend, counselor)

4.                  Be Assertive (not aggressive)

5.                  Time Out  Take time to cool down and think.  Then discuss the issue with the person involved or with a friend)

6.                  Walk Away

7.                  Humor  (Try to find some humor in the situation)

8.                  Hobbies

9.                  Get Plenty of Rest  (to avoid irritability)

10.             Seek help  (if you are having trouble communicating your anger constructively or are getting angry too often)
